Salvia guaranitica Black and Blue

Regular price £6.50 Sale

A giant of the salvia world with perhaps the most sumptuous deep blue flowers with the added spice of dark black calices.

Mind you, she keeps you waiting, the plant grows away strongly and you wait and wait until the nights draw in and other flowers fade, and then when you have almost given up hope, the plump pendulous flower buds start to form and then what a display.

Flowering for maybe eight weeks in late autumn, like our home grown strawberries, Black and Blue is always worth the wait.

Back of the border is best with a height of 2 m or ft  and quite upright growth, so great backing up borders with other foliage plants.
